Biostimulants

Sigma AgriScience uses value added biologicals to provide an all-in-one nutrient delivery system that feeds the plant while enhancing the biological life of the soil and plant rhizosphere.

All our organic granular fertilizers and liquid biostimulants can come with beneficial microorganisms such as Mycorrhizae, Bacillus, and Trichoderma fungi to help dramatically improve soil health and plant growth.

These biologicals improve the efficiency of the plant’s metabolism and increase plant tolerance to physical and biological stresses while promoting quick recovery.

Plant Rhizosphere

Biological activity in the rhizosphere is imperative to the development of strong, healthy roots. Fungi and bacteria are beneficial soil organisms that have a symbiotic relationship with the plant through its root system.

Our products are packed with these beneficial organisms which dominate the environment through competitive exclusion by fighting off harmful pathogens and bacteria that invade the rhizosphere. They also play a major role in the breakdown of organic matter and the freeing of nutrients that are in the soil yet are unavailable to the plant.

Beneficial Bacillus bacteria aid in the uptake of NPK and other nutrients in the soil by adhering to the plant root system and establishing a symbiotic relationship with the plant. They also provide competitive exclusion of harmful bacteria.

Mycorrhizal fungi help build rich, fertile soil. By increasing the surface area of the roots several hundred times, Mycorrhizal fungi greatly improve the ability to access soil resources because of their mycelium, a network of fine white filaments that increase nutrient uptake. These fungi also release powerful enzymes into the soil that solubilize nutrients such as organic nitrogen and phosphorus.

Trichoderma fungi colonize in the root zone and help to reduce the number of pathogens in the soil as well promote growth, yields, and quality of all types of plants.
